Oxford Economics, the Oxford-based economics trade conference, has confirmed that it has been the most talked-about event at the conference in years.
In an interview with Business Insider, the conference’s chairwoman, Caroline Wilson, said the conference had attracted around 10,000 attendees over the years.
“I think it’s a wonderful day to go to Oxford.
It’s a bit like the Olympics in the sense that everyone is excited, everyone is really enjoying themselves, but the day is also full of great networking opportunities, lots of great speakers, and I think it all adds up to a really good time,” Ms Wilson said.
Ms Wilson said that the Oxford Economic Conference had become the “world’s most talked about” event over the last five years.
But she also revealed that she had never been the only one at the event.
“The last year or so has been really exciting.
We’ve had a lot of new speakers, we’ve had lots of very enthusiastic audiences, and lots of people have really enjoyed themselves, which is great,” she said.
The conference has been a hit with students, academics, and business leaders.
